What is the goal of ENDpaparazzi.org?

3/22/2014

ENDpaparazzi.org has three main objectives:
  1. To make paparazzi photos worthless. #ENDpaparazzi
  2. To educate fans on how they can help, rather than being part of the problem. #RealFansShowRespect
  3. To expose and deter the abusive behavior of the paparazzi. #FaceOfGreed

ENDpaparazzi.org enables celebs to flood the market with their own photos and make their motivation clear - that they are publishing their image to defeat the paparazzi and NOT for self promotion.  You provide the images.  I automate the FREE redistribution to fans and other publishers until pap images have no value. Paps gone.  You get your life back.

ENDpaparazzi.org is completely ad free.  There is no cost to use or publish on ENDpaparazzi.org.  For anyone.

Why ENDpaparazzi.org?  Can't I achieve the same thing on Twitter, Instagram, or WhoSay?

3/20/2014

Yes and No.  If you only use generic social media sites (such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram...),your fans won't understand your true motivation - to defeat the paparazzi. People might assume that you are publishing all these photos/videos of yourself because you are self absorbed and narcissistic. ENDpaparazzi.org makes your motivation clear to everyone.  You are publishing all these photos to #ENDpaparazzi and not for self promotion.

You should at least consider adding @PaparazziBuster  or #ENDpaparazzi to the photos you post on Twitter and Instagram.  Why?  So that your followers will understand that you are are posting pictures/videos to defeat the paparazzi.  Who knows, perhaps we can also educate them about what you really go through, and help some charitable causes out in the meantime.

ENDpaparazzi.org is completely free to use either way.  For everyone.  No ads either.  Anywhere.

BTW - if you do eventually decide to publish directly to ENDpaparazzi.org it can automatically update Twitter and Facebook for you.  And that is completely free too.

What's in it for me?

Is this just a ploy to get me to promote the ENDpaparazzi.org brand?

1/17/2014

I understand why you might suspect that.  Tell me what you need from me to address those concerns, and I will do that - as long as it is motivated by establishing trust.  My goal is to help you get your life back.  I understand that it will take a leap of faith on your part.

How do you suggest I make paparazzi photos worthless?

1/14/2014

By simply displaying a sign that says "ENDpaparazzi.org" while they take their unauthorized photos, then immediately publishing YOUR OWN better photos and/or videos yourself to ENDpaparazzi.org.  Eventually, just displaying the ENDpaparazzi.org name may be enough to deter the paparazzi.

NOTE:  You don't have to endorse ENDpaparazzi.org to #ENDpaparazzi  (95% to kiva.org available in Rebel or Standard editions at  http://www.paparazzibuster.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html )

But aren't there better causes to promote?

1/13/2014

(What you may be thinking) As much as I hate the paparazzi, why would I try to deter them with a "ENDpaparazzi.org" sign, when there are so many better causes I could promote?

You're right, there are better causes.  We can best help those causes by working together (Artists United Against Paparazzi).

Why won't most publishers touch photos like this?

Publishers pay the paparazzi for their photos.  Publishers hate promoting someone else's brand/cause.  If a publisher won't even promote a good cause,  how much do you think they will pay a paparazzo for a photo promoting an AD FREE source of celebrity photos?

We are doing this for charities and the common good.

Make paparazzi photos worthless.

How can I publish pictures/videos faster than the paparazzi?

12/12/2013

Publishing your photos/videos to papbuster.com is very fast and easy using free technology that I will provide to you.  The App will allow you to publish photos/videos using a mobile device (iOS or Android) in a few minutes.  Or, if you prefer, you can upload high resolution galleries (multiple images) and HD video by using a regular browser on your computer - no additional software required.  The technology is available right now.  You just need internet access.  The quality/size of your photos is NOT an issue.

I take care of automating the FREE redistribution of your photos to fans and publishers.

Also, no one has greater access to you, than you.

How much does your paparazzi solution cost?

12/12/2013

Nothing. ENDpaparazzi.org is free for all parties.  You, fans, and publishers.  No ads either.

How complicated is your #ENDpaparazzi technology?

12/12/2013

It's easy.  So easy a child can use it.  In fact, I hope they will use it to help keep themselves safe from stalkerazzi.

So are you going to make money off of my photos?

12/12/2013

No, the photos are free to all parties.  I am just automating the redistribution to interested parties (publishers, fans). There will be no copyright.  They will immediately be in the public domain for anyone to publish.

Why do my photos have to be free?

12/12/2013

Because that is how you defeat greed - through generosity.

How is anyone going to know to go to ENDpaparazzi.org for free pics?

12/12/2013

Because you are going to show them the name (#ENDpaparazzi or papbuster.com or ENDpaparazzi.org).  So will I.

Why would a publisher go with my photos over the paparazzi's photos?

12/12/2013

  1. Because the photos you upload to ENDpaparazzi.org will be better.
  2. Because the photos on ENDpaparazzi.org are free.
  3. Because the publisher will receive them faster - nearly in real time if they "subscribe" to your photos/video.
  4. Because if a publisher doesn't use the photos on ENDpaparazzi.org,  their competition will (and their competition is growing daily).
  5. Because you (or a friend) will ensure that there are  a lot of great photos to choose from.
  6. Because it is more ethical for publishers to use ENDpaparazzi.org photos.

Publishers will still be able to caption, or report however they like.  They will no longer need to pay the paparazzi for photos - which is also good for them.

How will ENDpaparazzi.org deter paparazzi?

12/12/2013

  1. There will no longer be money in being a paparazzo.
  2. They will not be able to compete with your speed and rate of publishing.
  3. Eventually, just the sight of ENDpaparazzi will make them realize that any photos will be worthless.
  4. They will never have the same level of access to you, as you do.

Can't the paps just Photoshop or crop the ENDpaparazzi.org sign out?

12/12/2013

Yes, but using photoshop or any other program will take time.  They need face shots.  They can't crop out your face.

So I have to constantly walk around with a ENDpaparazzi.org sign?

12/12/2013

No.  The ENDpaparazzi.org sign is just a simple proof of concept to demonstrate that this solution will work.  It's a simple solution that you can take out of your pocket whenever you need a defense against the paparazzi.  Eventually you may want to wear the ENDpaparazzi brand.

So you want me to promote your ENDpaparazzi brand for you?

12/12/2013

No, it will not be MY brand, it will be OUR band.  The brand will be equally owned by all participating celebrities.  95% of merchandising profits will go to charity.

What do you mean "wear the ENDpaparazzi.org brand"?

12/12/2013

Eventually, after you grow tired of holding up a piece of paper with ENDpaparazzi.org written on it, you can wear it as an ethically made, high quality, high fashion label - perhaps just as @ENDpaparzzi or #ENDpaparazzi.  This is only a possibility for the future however.

Which charity will receive the generated revenue?

12/12/2013

We will decide together.  Self serving charities will not be allowed, because you can't defeat greed with more greed.

Can't I just tell people my true motivation?

12/12/2013

Yes.  You can also probably even find a way to profit from such an offering.  That has been tried already.  It did not reduce the paparazzi problem.  The key to the solution is to be generous and work together with other celebrities.

What about the fans taking pictures?

12/12/2013

Most fans take a picture or two because they are excited to see you and want to own a little piece of the encounter. Together we will educate fans that it is not polite or safe to take photos without permission. There must be ongoing educational campaigns in this regard.   There will eventually be an educational component to the ENDpaparazzi.org website to facilitate this.

If fans are motivated by greed, they will be treated the same as paparazzi.

Advantage 2: Even if paps photoshop or crop-out ENDpaparazzi.org it dramatically increases their workload.
Advantage 3: You own the ENDpaparazzi.org brand (your equal portion anyway).
Advantage 4: The brand is simple, intuitive, and memorable.

Advantage 6: You get to help a lot of good causes because 95% of merchandising revenue will go to charity.
Advantage 7: There is no faster publishing solution than on ENDpaparazzi.org.  Updates are automatic for fans/publishers.

Advantage 9: Publishing to ENDpaparazzi.org will be so easy a child could do it.
Advantage 10: No ads appear anywhere on the website or photos.
Advantage 11:  It's free for all parties.
Advantage 12:  We work with fans and publishers not against them.
Advantage 13: You prevent the publishing of photoshoped lies by getting the truth out there yourself.
Advantage 14: The brand quickly becomes associated with generosity - because 95% goes to charity.
Advantage 15: We get to solve this together - no egos involved.
Advantage 16: We now have a place to expose the stalkerazzi.

Doesn't constantly publishing my own photos defeat the whole purpose?  I want privacy!!!

12/11/2013

No, because it's not the photos that bother you. It's the lack of control. It's the dishonesty.  It's the lack of respect.  When the photos are yours, none of these things apply.  You get to show the truth.

This strategy not only gives YOU the power. It also clearly expresses your motivation.   You're publishing on ENDpaparazzi.org to defeat the paps - clearly.  You don't have to publish 24/7 either.  Just do it when someone pisses you off and you feel like making their photos worthless.

They don't have to be selfie's either, have a friend or a member of your security team take the pictures of you.  How are paps going to compete with that kind of access?  After a bit of practice, your own great photos can be on papbuster.com in under a minute.  How are the paps going to compete with that?

Can you give me an example how it might work?

11/28/2013

Okay, play out this scenario.

(the vision) You go out to the corner store, and a paparazzo starts snapping away - maybe two or three of them.  Someone has sold you out again.

(in the early stages) You pull out a standard piece of paper and hold it towards the photographers. This paper has something written on it.  The pap doesn't understand or care at first.  He keeps snapping away.  The paper partially blocks your face. Maybe your kids have one too.

Within a few minutes the pap's publisher has received the photos and is evaluating them. "What's this?", the publisher asks.  What is this celebrity holding up?  ENDpaparazzi.org What the hell is that?  So they visit the site to find out.  There, they find better photos that YOU have just uploaded to ENDpaparazzi.org . The pictures there are very candid and showing great emotion.  Perhaps you also record a 15 second video sharing what you're thinking that day.  The photos/video that you just uploaded (very easily, I might add) have no reference to ENDpaparazzi.org.  They are free of copyright. Public domain.  There are a lot of great free photos to choose from.

What photos do you think the publisher will go with?  How much do you think that paparazzo is going to get paid?  The pap tries again, and again.  Same result.  Soon the pap realizes that the publisher has subscribed to the RSS feed of FREE photos on ENDpaparazzi.org - which come directly from you.  The publisher is now being updated in real time.   So the pap finds another publisher.  This time the pap is smart however.  He takes two hours to photoshop out the ENDpaparazzi.org sign you're holding.  They are still crappy photos, but at least he won't be promoting ENDpaparazzi.org - the site with free photos of you.

After a few weeks of trying this strategy you start to notice that things are getting better.  Paps are starting to realize that there isn't the big payoff there used to be.  Photos are just too widely available.  They can't compete with what you can put out in seconds.  Because you're good, and fast, and smart.  Paps are also more unpopular than ever.  In extreme stalkerazzi cases pictures of them are posted on a special part of ENDpaparazzi.org to warn others.

MAYBE a year later (or less), it is not a piece of paper you're holding up.  Maybe it's just the word ENDpaparazzi.org written on an umbrella.  Maybe it's printed on a shirt?  Baseball cap?  Regardless, your fans know where to go and want to help out.  95% of the profits of any merchandising go to charity (not some self serving charity either)  Why?  Because you're awesome and this solution doesn't cost a lot to run.  It's ready to go right now if you want to try it out.  If I haven't made it totally clear yet, this solution is free for all parties involved: you, publishers, fans.

Some paps start to give up.  Others hide far off in the distance hoping to capture you off guard - when you don't have your brand/shield up.  But now you're wearing your ENDpaparazzi.org brand most of the time.  Yes YOUR brand.  The brand that is synonymous with generosity.

It's not about money or recognition for me.  It's about making a dent in this problem.  A big dent.

The answer isn't more laws, more copyright, more lawyers, more lawsuits, more greed.  It's less.

If we all come together (Artists United Against Paparazzi) and put greed aside (me included) we can do this.  Together we can show the world that sometimes what seemed to be an insurmountable problem had a very simple solution all along: Generosity (plus a little technology).

I realize that you have no idea who I am. Perhaps this will help.

What have you got to lose by trying it out?

Yeah, but it still won't work because....

  1. I just can't see it - I realize it can be confusing.  I will try to explain.  There are multiple websites.  Right now you are looking at the website paparazzibuster.com NOT ENDpaparazzi.org.  ENDpaparazzi.org is just currently being automatically forwarded to the site you are viewing right now.  In fact, ENDpaparazzi.org technically doesn't exist yet. Why? Because nobody is currently publishing photos to ENDpaparazzi.org. Once someone does, ENDpaparazzi.org will look totally different.  ENDpaparazzi.org will be a completely separate website. The website you are viewing right now will continue operating as paparazzibuster.com .   The purpose of paparazzibuster.com (the site you are currently viewing) is to explain why we need ENDpaparazzi.org (the site publishers/fans will eventually access).  Once someone has the courage to try out this paparazzi solution, ENDpaparazzi.org will change over to an extremely simple/basic website.  What will ENDpaparazzi.org look like?  ENDpaparazzi.org will immediately display the pictures that you have uploaded so that fans and publishers don't have to navigate a bunch of confusing menus or links to find them.  When you upload your photos, the most recent photos will be displayed at the top - providing easy access.  People will also be able to subscribe to a free RSS feed of your photos so that they automatically receive updates through their email program, browser, or free RSS app.   That way they won't even have to visit ENDpaparazzi.org.  The images are fed directly to them automatically.  This process is entirely automated.  For those who do visit ENDpaparazzi.org directly, there will be (i) no ads, (ii) a single directory/menu of celebrity names to for consumers (fans/publishers) to navigate.  This is assuming of course that more celebrities see that the solution is working and come onboard.  I hope this paints a clearer picture of what ENDpaparazzi.org will eventually look like.  My intention is to make it simple to navigate, yet elegant.  If you still don't understand, just ask me (anonymously if you want) by clicking on the "Add Comment" link below.
  2. There are just too many paps to deter - You're right.  The number will only continue to grow.  That is why we can't wait much longer.  The word is out.  Your photo is worth money.  Your child's photo is worth money. We need to address the Greed issue right now.  Asking people to boycott magazines, and appealing to their humanity, may work for a few, but they are likely the ones who show you respect to begin with.  The others don't care about what you want.  The paps want money.  Make their photos worthless.  We need to get the word out on the street that your photo (and those of your kids) are worthless.
  3. I can't trust you, because you're just another fan - I understand why you would think that.  I understand that you fear some fans - especially the ones trying to "help" you.  After all, they are the ones who are usually obsessed.  I understand that people judge others based on who they associate with.  I understand all the reasons you have to mistrust me - except one.  You don't know me.
  4. But I've already invested so much into Paparazzi Reform - Why reform it, when you can END it.  If you are going to change any laws, make sure they are laws that matter.
  5. I would be giving up too much to work with an outsider - I understand.  It's true I have no idea what you would be giving up.  Then again, sometimes an outsider is exactly what you need.

Here are some other ideas, and why you should care.
