The PSA - Educating the public

Educating the public is an important part of the solution to the paparazzi problem.  They need to see the downside of being a celebrity.  Films like $ellebrity and Teenage Paparazzo have done a great job using the documentary genre, but I feel we need something short and sweet that can reach a mass audience quickly.  Perhaps through social media.

I've come up with the following PSA simply called "Celebrity" that would run under one minute.  It wouldn't be a campaign per se.  It would be a short video expressing the perspective of celebrities for those who seek it.  You may be surprised how many people support you in the stand against greed.

It goes something like this....

Celebrity #1 - close-up shot, speaking directly to the camera - "It's great being a celebrity" (the shot continues with 4-5 seconds of silence - showing the true emotional expression after the statement is made).

(Cut-away to ACTUAL video of the paparazzi mob scenes)

Celebrity #2 - "You get a lot of free stuff"

(Cut-away to ACTUAL video of intrusive fans (perhaps with blurred out faces) aggressively demanding pics/autographs and taking your picture without permission)

Celebrity #3 - "You get to go to a lot of cool events"

(Cut-away to ACTUAL video showing mobs of greedy people outside your hotel preventing you from leaving)

Celebrity #4 - "People think you're special"

(Cut-away to ACTUAL insults being thrown at you by paparazzi trying to provoke a response)

Final Shot (White text on black screen) - #RealFansShowRespect  #ENDpaparazzi

I would be happy to edit it myself.  I just need the four celebrity shots (ideally black & white with a light grey canvas background).
